- Glastonbury Festival Take Down
The Top Cat Big Tops team finally left the festival site today, 2 weeks after the official festival climax. They have had to cope with one of the toughest and muddiest take downs that we’ve ever seen. In the weeks before the gates opened, the site had been hit by torrential rain. 180,000 people stomping over this wet ground and it doesn’t take long for the whole thing to turn into a muddy mess! This meant that this year’s festival suffered the worst mud and rain since it first began 46 years ago. The mud was so bad that it used up the entire supply of woodchip in the South of England!
Massive thanks and respect to all the Top Cat Big Tops team for a professional and punctual job in the most horrendous conditions. I know that every one of you is broken, inside and out, but your shining spirits, beautiful souls, friendships and loyalty to each other and Top Cat Big Tops will get you through it.
I salute you:
Rob Sage, BobxNaomi South Moffat, Steve Fox and Ruth, Ben Harper, Gregøry Aurelìus and Ashley, Hugo Eurgh, John Ormerod
Here’s some photos of some of the Big Top tents you’ve just pulled down to remind you of the fun you’ve just had.
