- Setting up for Glastonbury Festival
Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts is one of the original festivals, first taking place in 1970. Not only is it one of the oldest, it’s also one of the largest festivals in the world. Top Cat Big Tops have a long association with the festival and this year we have a total of 10 marquees and big tops setup. Pictured on the left, you can see our brand new 16 x 24m Rainbow Big Top (or 50 x 75 ft in old money). Built by Guy, John and Dan, you can find this tent set up near the Park area of the festival. The weather might be terrible, the crowd might be rowdy, but we can guarantee that our tents will still be standing tall and proud at the end of the festival!
Another new tent setup and ready for this year’s festival, is our 9 metre (30 ft) purple and blue round tent pictured right, hand built by the Top Cat Big Tops team. If you’d like a tent like this in your garden, it needs a clear 13 m (42 ft) circle. We also do them smaller and much, much bigger!
